. The general public, particularly the older generation, is filled with misinformation, disinformation, and false information. Many people have only the information peddled by the marijuana prohibitionists. Most people have no idea what hemp is and that hemp and marijuana are two very different varieties of the same species, "cannabis sativa." The benefits and uses of these two plant go far beyond the mind altering power of the chemicals found in marijuana's buds and flowers. Our goal is to bring sanity into this land of chaos, confusion, misinformation, disinformation, and end the untold and unnecessary grief, misery, and intentional destruction produced by the marijuana prohibitionists. Our intention is to add our voice to the multitude of websites that educate people regarding the benefits and uses of marijuana and hemp. Since there are dozens of websites that provide excellent educational material, we'll give you just the highlights here and then direct you to other sites for extensive and detailed information. |

. There are huge differences between the plant variety we call marijuana and the plant variety referred to as hemp. Each has urgently-needed benefits and uses that the prohibitionists ignore and/or deny. Let's begin by distinguishing between marijuana and hemp. Both belong to the species cannabis sativa. The plant variety we call marijuana is grown primarily for the mind-altering chemicals that are found mostly in the buds and flowers. It also has numerous medical uses, which are being ignored by the marijuana prohibitionists. The plant variety we call hemp has a large variety of commercial, agricultural, and industrial uses such as producing fibers that are better than cotton for making paper and clothing. It has almost none of the psychoactive chemicals found in marijuana. |

. Both marijuana and hemp are being intentionally kept illegal for reasons relating to money and political power. There are very powerful men behind the drug controversies who control the billions of dollars that are generated by keeping certain drugs illegal. In the face of the huge social, political, economic, and environment disasters that prohibition produces, and in spit of the urgently-needed benefits and uses that both marijuana and hemp have, these men are able to secretly funnel money into the political system in a manner that few know about and fewer still understand. With hundreds of billions of cash dollars, these men secretly and very-indirectly (through several degrees of separation) control just about everything on the entire planet.
Here's the
bottom line: Unseen by
the public, there is a constant
struggle for the power and control
that illegal drug money provides.
You've probably seen news stories
about the the Mexican drug cartels
-- about how they will do anything
to keep their power including
murdering the families of those who
dare to oppose them.
Well, the major, money and
power brokers are almost exactly the
same, with the exception of one huge
difference. You will
never see and never know anything
about what the major, money power
brokers do.
Why?
Because they have a very
sophisticated system of control that
works through several degrees of
separation. In other words,
they never commit the crimes
themselves. They give
instructions using coded language
and their commands go through
several levels to the people who
actually commit the criminal
activity. When people read things such as what's written above on this page, we are commonly asked this question: You're bucking a huge, long-standing, incredibly-wealthy and very powerful establishment. Aren't you afraid of getting squashed like an annoying bug? In response, we say:
No
because we're not bucking them, or
challenging them, or demanding any
money from them, or threatening them
in any way. Actually,
we're their "Ace
in the Hole." their
Hedge Bet,"
their "Plan
B, C, and D."

. Illegal drugs are a 250-billion-dollar-per-year industry. According to the estimates we've found, sixty to seventy percent of that money comes from the sale of marijuana. Create Hemp Industry: Ending Marijuana Insanity would and will open the door to a multi-billion-dollar hemp industry that can and will provide hundreds of thousands of safe, well-paying jobs. Produce an Expanded Tax Base: Ending Marijuana Insanity would and will provide a multi-billion dollar tax base. That tax base can and will provide billions of dollars for essential social services such as education and health care. Revitalize Family Farms: Ending Marijuana Insanity would and will easily revitalize the nations family farms by allowing farmers to grow hemp for making cloth and paper and for hundreds of other uses. Eliminate Most of the Prison Industry: Ending Marijuana Insanity would and will drastically reduce the multi-billion-dollar prison industry. Since former President Richard (I'm not a crook) Nixon created marijuana prohibition in 1972, the nations prison population has risen from 300,000 to 2,500,000. That's more than an eight-hundred percent increase. Seventy percent of all crime is drug-related. Most crime is the direct or indirect result of marijuana prohibition. Imagine what could and will be done with the billions of dollars now wasted of keeping people in prison for minor, non-violent offenses such as the possession of marijuana. Dramatically Reduce the Crime Rate: Ending Marijuana Insanity would and will result in the overall crime rate being reduced to a fraction of what it is today. For example, gang violence on our city streets would be dramatically reduced. The cost to the public in terms of death, injury, and financial losses would also be dramatically reduced. Ending Marijuana Insanity would and will allow our police to shift much of their focus from protection to service. Imagine the police providing an education service to children about public safety, and about how to avoid the misuse of drugs, and firearms. We have a full page on why money and political power are the real reasons why marijuana is still a federal crime. It also includes a long list of examples of those who benefit financially because of marijuana prohibition. |

The Marijuana Conspiracy
The
Real Reason why Hemp is ILLEGAL
by
Doug Yurchey This is an excellent overview of the history and the controversy of marijuana. Here's the opening paragraph: "Pot is NOT harmful to the human body or mind. Marijuana does NOT pose a threat to the general public. Marijuana is very much a danger to the oil companies, alcohol, tobacco industries and a large number of chemical corporations. Various big businesses, with plenty of dollars and influence, have suppressed the truth from the people. POT IS ILLEGAL BECAUSE BILLIONAIRES WANT TO REMAIN BILLIONAIRES!"
